Welcome to Kawartha Orthodontics!  As Practice Manager, my mandate is to uphold the long-standing tradition of excellence for which Kawartha Orthodontics is known.  The primary focus of my role is to provide a truly exceptional environment: one that combines the absolute best in orthodontic treatment, with unsurpassed individualized patient care and professionalism.  We love what we do and we pride ourselves in providing a warm, friendly and comfortable environment.  Beyond creating great smiles, our goal is for our patients to enjoy treatment as much as the final result.  I am always available to answer any questions you may have, so please feel free to reach out to me at any time throughout the course of your treatment.

Hello!  I’m the first person you’ll meet when you arrive at Kawartha Orthodontics.  I’m responsible for performing wellness screening checks, and for greeting and directing patients/family members as they enter and exit our office.  I’m also available to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your visit to our office.  Although you can’t see my smile, you’ll appreciate my warm, friendly greeting!  


Treatment Coordinators / Level II Dental Assistants

Hello!  We’re responsible for ensuring your first visit to our office runs smoothly.  We work with Dr. Kaller to provide you with everything you need to make an informed decision about orthodontic treatment.  After Dr. Kaller performs a thorough examination and presents you with viable treatment options, we’re here to thoroughly break down these options, provide you with estimated time and costs, and answer any questions or concerns you may have about the proposed treatment.  We’re also responsible for assisting Dr. Kaller with growth and development consultations, and assisting the hygienists in the clinic area when needed.

     


Diagnostic Coordinators / Level II Dental Assistants

Hi!  We're responsible for taking diagnostic records, which are used to determine treatment plans. We also assist the doctor and hygienists in the clinic area, help other dental assistants with the sterilization of instruments and treatment areas, and provide oral hygiene instructions to patients.  

     


Financial Coordinators

Hello!  We're responsible for initiating new patient contracts, setting up payment plans, posting payments, providing the necessary paperwork required to complete insurance claims, and assisting with outgoing correspondence to patients and dentists. We're also available to answer any questions you may have regarding your account, appointments, or insurance claims.

Hello!  I'm responsible for checking in and out patients, managing all aspects of the schedule, handling phone calls and emails, and coordinating new patient appointments and information.

        


Level II Dental Assistants

We're responsible for assisting doctors and hygienists in the clinic area, and for providing oral hygiene instructions to patients.  We're also trained to assist with many other aspects of patient care including the sterilization of instruments, new patient consultations and diagnostic records. 

      

      


Dental Sterilization Technician / Level II Dental Assistant

I'm responsible for ensuring all orthodontic instruments and devices are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized in accordance with Ontario Public Health standards and procedures. I'm also responsible for performing quality assurance tests on the effectiveness of the sterilizing process, and for performing routine preventive maintenance on all reprocessing equipment.  I also assist the doctor and hygienists in the clinic area when needed.

We're responsible for assisting the doctors with patient orthodontic care including placement, removal, and adjustment of all types of braces including stainless steel, ceramic, and Invisalign®.
